In recent news, Boomtown got an interview out of lead developer, Matt Miller. All the had to do was point a nice cosmo-ray gun at his head, and he nearly spilled his guts. My assumption, the cosmo-ray gun works like Cosmic Burst, and Matt Miller didn't want to be dazed and confused as not to let slip to many answers. In the interview, Boomtown asks him many questions concerning the near future of the game, and a few further out aspects. I'll list a few of the questions below, and leave it up to you to go read the full details.
Inquiring minds wanted to know whether or not the new Police Band missions would give the "standard" newspaper style missions that villains get, and if they would also recieve the "special" missions akin to Mayhem missions. The short answer to that is yes, and Matt even says how many of them you must do to recieve the special ones. Faultline, hated by many heroes due to the fact that it's so hard to navigate, is going to be revamped. Instead of being a hazard zone, it has been hinted that it will become a city zone. This is also the first zone in CoH to be remade in such a manner. Have you ever wondered why +4 to +5 mobs are so hard to defeat? Try taking on the Recluse Strike Force (RSF), which has all +4 mobs. If you can't just ask a villain that's done it, and they'll tell you they were mostly ineffective during the whole thing. Matt explains why that is, and answers many other great questions. Just check out Boomtowns Interview with Matt Miller to read everything about it.
