Good Day Everyone,
I have returned to Gameamp, after being severely injured in an accident, for more build criticism and many things, but I thought I'd create a quick guide today. To start out, I had been in a car accident and had to spend about two months in the hospital. Not fun stuff at all… Enough about what happened, time to do what I made this guide for, inform about surviving this PvP zone. When I played in Recluse's Victory, I was a danger to all heroes that came my way. This is probably because I am an expert Mastermind that can see what to expect. The simple way to survive alone is to bring along a heavy. Heavies are extremely powerful elite bosses that are capable of dishing out obscene damage. By obscene I mean a simple one-shot. A Blaster, Controller, Defender, Kheldian, and most of the time a Scrapper were never slight trouble for me.
Another thing you must expect is that you WILL BE teamed on, you must be ready to take on multiple people. I could usually defeat 3-5 people that are teaming on me. You must be able to defeat many people, as most people team up in this zone. I rarely teamed in this zone, I only teamed to fight against the Signature Heroes. I will talk about Sigs later. To defeat multiple foes, you must have an armor (Patron Power), a fast way to self regenerate, and a good way to attack. In a battle, you must attack the powerful attackers first. If your foes are using heavies, attack the owner first to kill the heavy. You must not be shy in battle. If an enemy runs, you chase after the battle.
The way to treat heroes in the zone is simple: Do not attack rudely or interrupt Signature Villain fighting. If your enemies are fighting Sigs, allow them to kill them. It is obscenely rude to attack a foe fighting a Sig. I have never done it, I never kill in cold blood. After a fight, I will not make fun of my foes. Remember, making fun of someone is just going to tick them and make them want to kill you. You never want to make hated enemies on the battlefield. In a PvP zone you should never become a symbol of hatred, as that is not good when you are trying to fight Sigs yourself.
Ah yes, the Signature Heroes, a fun subject to discuss. First of all, let’s start with Positron. Positron is easy to fight until he uses his Super Boost…. It is totally insane, he can regenerate while he’s doing it, and he is almost completely invincible. He must be held before he is at 1/5 of his Hit Points. Sister Psyche is a bit of trouble, as she is quick on the destruction of a player, and her holds are a huge pain. Most of her moves aren’t supposed to do damage, yet she is hitting a 400 on me with Total Domination. Regardless, she goes down quick if your party is focusing entirely on her. Synapse likes to run, run, run! He is a real pain, and is annoying to fight. He doesn’t have a final armor, so when he’s at low hp he doesn’t use anything bad. He does use Thunderous Blast however….
Back Alley Brawler is beyond easy. He used to give debt, but now he doesn’t (Thank Goodness!) He does have a final armor, but you just switch your attack focus and kill him after he uses it. Statesman is the one hero that I have not killed as a result of other players ruining the attack. Statesman isn’t hard until he gets into his final armor, it is very hard to kill him once that happens. Manticore isn’t hard at all, he teleports sometimes, but other than that he isn’t hard.
Finally, the amazing job of the zone, the Pillbox capturing! The first original turrets give a lot of experience, so it’s best to try to kill them. Killing pillbox guns are easy, just get your heavy to do it. The first turret is a popup gun with one attack, Burst. Four hit attack, and it does pretty high damage each. The second turret types are the Missile and the Long-Range turrets. The Missile turret shoots a few of the missiles that do pretty high damage, but they are short ranged. The Long-Range turret can hit you when you cannot even see it… However, it doesn’t do too much damage. Remember, capturing a Pillbox will only count if you do it.
Badges: Oh so many!!!!!
Exploration (Such a beautiful travel sight eh?):
Dark Victory: .61 miles North-West of Villain base, an alley
Globetrotter: In the spot Miss. Liberty stands in Atlas Park
Last Stand: .56 miles west of the Villain Base, near a dumpster
Raganarok: 367 yards west of the Villain Base, near a tree
Accomplishment (Make yourself feel good):
Heavies (Why can’t you go faster!!!):
Temporal Agent: Capture 10 Heavies
Temporal Spy: Capture 50 Heavies
Temporal Solder: Capture 250 Heavies
Pillboxes (Used to be easy…):
Time Mechanist: Capture 10 Pillboxes
Somewhere in Time: Capture 100 Pillboxes
Back to the Future (Awesome movie :P): Capture 1000 Pillboxes
A quick paragraph on the pillbox badges. When you were a child you were probably read the book The Little Engine that Could. Well, it put you to sleep immediately, which is why your parents read it to you... Anyway, so there is a little train that for some reason has the ability to think and speak, and it is given an impossible task that is too boring for me to describe. So the little train begins to mutter to itself “I think I can, I think I can, I think I can,” and it had muttered its way to success. Well, mutter all you want because this badge will kick your butt, it took me forever to get it when you could trade Pillboxes.
Signature Hero Badges (Omgz stop hitting 1,500’s on me!!!):
Destroyer…: Defeat Positron (Destroyer is the best they could think of???)
Interrogator: Defeat Sister Psyche
Oppressor: Defeat Statesman (Still need to do…)
Uppercut: Defeat Back Alley Brawler
Dead Eye: Defeat Manticore
Breakneck: Defeat Synapse (Omgz stop running!!!)
Blackguard: Defeat ALL of them!!!!
Well, there’s your guide, sorry if I forgot anything for I haven’t played in around 4 months and did all of this based on memory. I hope that anybody who fights in RV will listen to my advice. Please don’t grief people in this zone, I never started a fight, however if I am attack I am not slow to take action. This zone has tons of badges, so don’t grief badge farmers, they really don’t like it……
Good luck kicking butt in this PvP zone.
