Something weird and sinister has befallen on the City of Heroes and City of Villains staff here at GameAmp. The once lively and colorful helpers behind the scenes are fading! Where they once had personality, flair and recognition, they have now turned in a dull anonymous Amp of grey.
So we need your help! Please bring back to life the characters they once were. Actually they are still the same bunch of characters they have always been, but without a true face. And that is where you lot comes in. Make a signature or avatar or drawing or whatever you like to wipe this greyness of the network.
Here is the crew that needs your help:
Each of the staffers will of course show off the creations you have made for them. But that is not all! There are actual prizes too.
Overall winners for best siggie/avatar/drawing
First prize: 300 credibility + first choice from the treasure vault.
Second prize: 200 credibility + second choice from the treasure vault.
Third prize: 100 credibility +third choice from the treasure vault.
Winner for best siggie/avatar/drawing per staffer
First prize: 200 credibility + having your siggy/ava/drawing on your favourite staffer for at least two months.

To give you some good idea about the characters that are behind the grey masks you could click on the avatars above, or even better, you could have a look at the Hero Draw a staffer Gallery and at the Villain Draw a staffer Gallery. You can submit as many entires as you like, and make something for as many different staffers as you like.
Please submit your signature, avatar or drawing to either of these two galleries.
The contest will run till midnight the 31 of August.

yeah it loads the screenshot page as everything but the actual image. i get the caption, the ads, sidebars, comments, and arrows to the next/prev screenshot...just no image. and no thumbnails either. the forums also have no avatars.

That is very weird. I've never heard that. I'll pass it on to higher ups if they know anything. In the meantime can you see the screenshots in THIS GALLERY?
Out of curiosity who's doing the judging? Does the staff member who the art is made for have the final decision on which one they're going to use? Or, is it an overall staff vote for everything?
I just think knowing the audience would help make the art betterer. Just mah two inf.

I was planning to declare the winners those that bribed me with the most cookies. But Grifter had some objections to that plan. Something about honesty and what not. I was not really listening. He might have said something useful too but I am not really sure.
So I my guess is that the overall winners will be selected by all 13 staffers. Each of us will make a top three and the ones with the most votes wins. The individual staff winner will be picked by the staffer themselves.

In general my photoshop skillz bite (especially considering I don't have photoshop -.-) and I've always had a knack for art as in pencil and paper (It's shocking right, I mean who actually draws by hand these days).. and what I wuz wondering is if anybody knew how to get teh alleged drawings onto the internet and take out all of the shadows and tiny faults that photocopying can create.
And if it's cookies you want it's cookies I got man, I make the meanest double chocolate chip cookies on teh east coast.

Jzzkc, my drawing skills are as brilliant as my pvp skills. So I don't really know how to do it. I guess the most important thing is to ensure no light can enter from the side when scanning/photocopying. But that might be tricky if the drawing was made in a sketch book. If your drawing is on a flat piece of paper that put it on front of an even larger white page, and scan/copy the two together. That's what I do if I need to scan it receipts for work. Beyond that I am clueless.
But I don't mind shadows and tiny faults. Drawn stuff is amazing no matter what. I reallly hope you'll post them soon. You don't even have to ad cookies. Although it won't hurt either ...

He's not kidding. Those cookies are mean. On several separate occasions they have given the family indigestion and diarrhea. Good stuff.
Also, for what it's worth, my drawing skillz suck too. I haz good PvP skillz though.

My Cookies =
3/4 Cups: Brown Sugar
3/4 Cups: Sugar
2 1/4 Cups: Flour
2 Large Eggs
2 Cups: Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
1 Teaspoon: Pure Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon: Sodium Chloride (Aka Salt for nonscientific Goobers)
1 Teaspoon: Baking Soda
2 Sticks: Butter
1: Wash Hands, Preheat Oven to 375 Degrees, Set out Butter to defrost.
2: Persistently mix Flour, Salt, and Baking Soda in separate bowl
3: In a new bowl, mix Brown Sugar, Sugar, Butter, and Vanilla Extract. Either use a mixer or blend together with bare hands (Your hands have 1000 uses :P)
4: When second bowl's contents are smooth with no existing bits of butter, add 1 egg at a time (At this point it is possible to use a spoon or fork to mix the eggs). Once smooth, add second egg and mix it in.
5: Finally, add in the flour mix from the first bowl to the second bowl, and mix with your hands.(Around this point your oven should be preheated). Mix in all chocolate morsels.
6: Lay out a cookie sheet on a cookie pan, and place cookie dough in dimensions of 3 columns by 4 rows in chunks slightly larger than a walnut. This recipe should create appr. 28 cookies.
7: Bake until Brown-Golden or for 10 minutes.
8: Remove cookies from oven and covet them as if the cookies had magical properties, somewhat like a ring made from lava in the flames of a scarily named mountain, maybe something like Mordor. I dunno just speculating.

I had a nice photosession with Big the other day and it left me exhausted. That way you're sure to get what you need and then some...and if we can convince you to stay, you'll enjoy some good gaming with us as well.
