You guessed right, I play on Champion. Although the server is dead at 6am, I still enjoy it. Also, since no one has posted here in ages...I claim it...as.....MINEE!!!!!!!! Seriously though it used to be full when I first started...what in the Mad Hatter happened.

Don't know about you...but at 6am, i'm either sleeping or heading to work during the week....
you could be playing during the dead time of day and business picks up before/after you log in/out...
I play some on Champion and I can only jump on in the evening time, bout 5ish or so.

I work the overnight shift, so I generally play from 6am to 12pm. On my days off, I switch my sleep schedule. There are maybe 50 people online in the morning. Most of them are in SGs and aren't awake enough to party with.
I made my own SG. Only like 30 members and most of them haven't logged in for a while. I just didn't want to be apart of a big guild. There are many reasons behind that though. I would have to sleep right when I get off work so that I would wake up for the peak playing hours. This of course makes me drowsy at work and that is unacceptable. The only plus side that I can think of is leveling faster.
For the most part, I'm happy to be on Champion. It can be a little lonely at times, but I can play at my own pace; and the fact that I don't have to impress anyone lol. I became so sick of that hypocrisy in WoW that I wanted to throw my keyboard. I mean....I had to work my butt off for months just to get into the guild....had to have perfect raid attendance, and made sure to have absolutely everything I needed before we raided. Then, when we did raid (setup takes waaaaaay too long), it seemed like the guild was comprised of 24 short-bus-window-lickers. Appologies to anyone who is, or knows of, a mentally handicapped person. What I'm trying to say is that there is a double-standard in big guilds, and I'm glad to be done with it.
Bishop, if I'm ever on after 5, I'll look for you. The mastermind that I'm leveling right now is named Dead Shell.
