Hey I just made a gravity/psionic Dominator. He is super fun to play cuz I like throwing people around, even though the damage is less than most of my earlier toons (have altitis so none of them get past lvl 8...) but I can survive lots since I dont let anyone touch me (holds, throws, etc). Is there any builds that have been good to anyone? I mainly like to solo if that will help.
Right now these are my powers/enhancements
1 - Lift - (1)accuracy, (3)accuracy
1 - Psionic Dart - (1)accuracy
2 - Gravity Distortion (gravity) - (2)accuracy, (3),hold duration (5)recharge, (7)endurance reduction, (7)endurance reduction
4 - Telekenetic Thrust - (4)accuracy, (5)accuracy
6 - Hover - (8)Flight
8 - Propel (chucks cars at people) - (8)recharge

Hi, I have an Energy/Grav Dom. "Graviton-x" on Union
My build is as follows -
Gravity Control
Crush
Crushing Field
Gravity Distortion

Power Blast
Power Boost
Total Focus
Sniper Blast
Power Burst
Pool powers

This build works really well for me, not really tried psionics yet so couldn't comment. I would suggest not getting "Dimension Shift" i can give you breathing room if u are solo'in but if u plan to team at any time it peevs people when u phase shift a group thinkin ur saving peoples backsides but only to find u all have to stand around waitin for the mob to un-phase.
u'll be lovin the sing when u get it too :) best pet in the game i reckon

I just created a grav/psi dominator... are they worth it? what's their best function - groups or soloing? I'm still kind of new to the game and this is my first dominator. any suggestions or comments would be helpful. thanks.

Psi is a rather late blooming secondary, but once you hit Shockwave you'll be happy you stuck it out. Add in a healthy dose of +recharge, and you can get both Domination and Drain Psyche (the real power ticket of the set, giving phenominal +regen and +recovery) at near permanent levels. You'll likely never want for endurance once that recharge is obtained. You could even respec out of Stamina in the later levels.
Gravity Control is a very solid set, with a heavier focus on single target controls and damage. Once you get Singularity, it's like having a pet controller backing you up. Singy also makes a good alpha taker, as it has a very healthy amount of HP and pretty good resistances to damage. Toss him in the middle of a tough mob and laugh while you take them down one by one, or all at once with Shockwave. =D

with domination and drain psyche, your endurance is great, but why stop there? with power sink from sirroco's epic set in there too, you DEFINATELY wont be needing stamina in the later lvls
