I just overheard a radio address from that old bag Miss Liberty and she’s made some tasty toys for her cloth-wearing weaklings to buy a little loyalty. Sounds like it will be a high-tech gadget and I’m going to catch a shipment before they get to Independence Port. Assuming it isn’t just some holiday piece of junk, I want to build it into my armor.
Lord Recluse gave the go ahead but only if I share the spoils with those destined scum that have overrun my territory like rats. Ah well, we can keep most of the haul for ourselves as long as we give enough away to keep the Arachnos wannabes quiet.
Meet me tonight at the lab to work on a plan. I know the first shipment will arrive on December 8th and they keep coming in until January 2nd so let’s make sure we get our fair share of the goods. After we take what we want, we can dump the rest on the little chosen punks as a holiday present from Lord Recluse.

I wonder what it could be? My guess is either a temporary power, or maybe a special piece of equipment for your SG's base.

Alright so they have started handing out the presents! My question is where do you receive them?? I have not logged in yet so I was just wondering how you get it. Any information on the present whatever it is would be great!

I have to log on still too, but from looking at some of the chat windows in the screenshots that are already posted, you just automatically get it as soon as you log in.

I can confirm that it is indeed a jet pack and it lasts 30 days.
Somewhere along the line I have also picked up stealth for thug, lasts 30 minutes....

I got the jetpack when I was on last night and it hit midnight, server time (which was 9:00pm for this West Coast type).
There is some kind of a bug with it, tho. I lost connection (Mapserver) shortly after I got it and when I logged back on it was gone, nowheres to be found. I petitioned this and received a reply this morning that this is a known bug and they are working on it --- so I will get my jetpack back. :)
How does anyone know that it is for 30 days and not just for a certain amount of usage??

Has anyone logged on to CoH today? Do the Heroes get jetpacks too? I'm still at work and can't check myself. I just want to know if I should bother dusting off my heroes to get their gifts.

I was on last night with LGB, a Hero and around 12:00AM BAMM Longbow Reservist Badge. In the info for the jet pack, it says you got it for 30 days. The badge for the villians is called something different. I'm gonna log on as all my toons to grab a pack, even though I might not use them all, I'll still have it. How long will they be giving these out for?

Both heroes and villians get jetpacks. I just logged allll of my many toons so they can receive their pack and badge. The gift giving will last until Jan 2 '06. The jetpacks themselves will last only for 30 days, starting today (from my understanding, regardless when you get them, the 30 day limit starts today...correct me if i'm wrong).
Something else that's neat that i found out is that even if you create a new hero/villian today or during this period, they will receive the free gift/badge as well. This was not done previously so take advantage and get your new toons created before Jan 2 so they can have auto travel power and not have to run around for the next 30 days or until they receive their own travel power (or whichever comes first).
Get those toon ideas in the game now for the free gift, while they last!

I believe it is called Hyper Stealth, and you get it from doing the patrol mission in Bloody Bay.

I stayed up late just to get my jet pack. I think they sound like slot machines when the wheels are spinning.
