It seems so strange to me now, but I understand the perceived need that everything must have a beginning. So here and now will be the start of this, though this has all happened for a very long time...
Upon this island is a wrathful spirit called Tarixus. Perhaps you've worked with him already, perhaps not. Speak with this Tarixus, present him with the letter I gave you, and tell him that you and I are working together. Ask him for a task, and he will ask you to battle my own kind. DO so, and you can learn much.
Tarixus knows me. Once all is clear, he won't have interfered.
The letter I gave you for Tarixus, let me give it to you now. Now, go to Tarixus. Do the task he asks of you. If you want to understand, pay attention. All of the rest will happen when it does. |

Diviner Maros sure speaks in riddles! Regardless, this is quite a fun mission. Find and speak with Tarixus for some minor XP and Infamy, and he will direct you to battle the Circle of Thorns in a nearby cavern.
In the cavern, I ran and ran and ran about, finding nothing, thinking this was all too easy. Then I ran into trouble. Lots of trouble.
Spectral Daemons and Daemon Lords, Nerva Spectral Daemons and Daemon Lords, Defenders! That was the easy part. Then I ran into a Behemoth Master. He looks like a glorified Corrupter, and calls fire upon you, if you let him. Keep him off his feet and he'll cause you no problems.
Finally, after a bit of hunting, you'll find two named Circle of Thorns mages. Defeat them and their cronies to earn your XP, Infamy and a random Dual-Origin Enhancement.
This looks to be the start of a story arc. |
