Lairs
When you first get your base it will be 1 room with the portal in it. This is basically the only important thing that will be allowed in the room. Sure you can have decorations and all, but at 100+ prestige a pop, it’s not worth it at this point in your bases creation. The first few things you are going to need for your base are control and energy creation rooms. These basically keep your base running. Those will be the first two rooms that you will want to build. After this it becomes a little harder. One thing you definitely want to take into consideration is what your VG wants. Do you want to get into base raids right away, or do you want a functional base, with TP chambers, a hospital, mission computers for VG Strike Forces, forges, and more. My VG is moving more down the lines of the latter, so that’s where I’ll start. Bases are also the main reason to playing in VG mode. They will be what you spend all of your prestige on, and also what all that salvage you have been finding is for. It is very important that all members, even casual ones, understand the importance of playing in VG mode, for your base to be a success.
Teleportation Chamber
The TP Chamber is a very handy room for zipping between zones via your base. There are two things that are important for your chamber to be operational. The first are basic telepads, made from members salvage. These can be placed in the Chamber by the member who creates it for a cost of 15000??? prestige. To be able to use it however, you will need to uncover beacons to zones. Each zone has its own beacons to be uncovered by members in VG mode. These are found by having all of a zones exploration badges found by (a) member(s) in VG mode. Each booth can hold up to two beacons so choose wisely. There are also raid telepads, capable of teleporting a team to a base raid of item of power trial. These are more likely to be useful later on in base creation or if you are leaning toward a raid base. Raid telepads are made by VG members with base editing permission.
Forges
There are many types of forges, just like there are many types of salvage. You will want to start with the most basic forges, as most VG members will have lower level salvage and therefore will be the most used. It is important for your VG to have a plan what they are going to use their salvage for to get the most out of everyone’s findings. When using the forge you will use the salvage to make some basic ingredients. The basic forges have 2 options, based on what types they are. They will be the 2 things with many options for making the same thing. Ex. R.I.P. tech material, arachnos tech material, skyraider tech material…..
You use these 2 options of material to make bigger and more useful things (the only purpose of the material made this way is to make larger items. It is still considered salvage and can be viewed by clicking on salvage on your powers bar, next to enhancements).
Hospital
The hospital is a useful area in the base that allows a fallen VG member to be transported back to the base instead of the normal hospital. Choosing to return to the base does have the disadvantage of not having full health and endurance upon revival(Basic Reclamator). The member can still choose to be transported back to the hospital to have health and stamina returned to 100%.
Mission Computers
Mission Computers can be made in the forge by any VG member and are used to generate VG Strike forces and other missions.
Defenses
When getting ready for Base Raids it is extremely important to have defenses to help take out the enemy. These can be made at the forges and there are many to choose from. In addition to defenses such as turrets that attack the VG raiding your base, there are also some things that help boost your defenses or help increase your chances of recovering items damaged or destroyed in battle.
Items of Power
Items of Power are every group’s ultimate goal, and are also the hardest thing to achieve. To get an item of power you need many things such as vaults and anchors. I am not sure on the details of this as my VG has not achieved this but I believe it is 6 anchors for every 1 Item of Power. Items of Power are sought after because they have many uses. They can boost you VG member’s HP, END, and even XP gained.
