Chance Forest has been called a lot of things; a freak of nature, a monster, an outcast, a threat to society, a mistake..yet in a way, his subconscious admits to such things, to a degree that is. He doesn't find it to be degrading, he uses that very hatred to his own advantage...
Born in Ontario, this Canadian tree hugger is no stranger to the very ill confrontation between freak and human that has plagued the world for many years. From the very day he was born, it was nothing but a struggle to survive in a world where some people directed nothing but pure hatred to those born different. His ever growing jealously of the heroes that roamed the continent only grew throughout his childhood. While he was being severely rejected and mistreated from the school scene, through his life for that matter, they were out there, getting credit for something that Chance himself could do any day of the week. Why should being green, having pointed ears and a plant-like anatomy be an excuse to become a target of hatred? Why weren't the various looking heroes being frowned upon? The word 'justice' became overrated. Was 'justice' served when his parents had to come to the point of court lawsuits just to keep their son in school? No. Was 'justice' served when school faculty prevented Chance from attending trips and special events? No. Several years..several years of nothing but spite, disrespect and loneliness. The psychological aspects just couldn't be dealt with anymore, thus, his inner abilities, his mutation had revealed itself ever so carefully, as if nature had intended all along.
He had come to realize as a young teenager his relationship with flora, his ability to mentally 'communicate' and manipulate nature itself(however, it goes much deeper than that, in great and perhaps complex detail). What he didn't know, was that not only were his abilities developing, but his physical aspects aswell. Thorn-like spines were growing underneath his skin over his entire body, each one having some connection with his spinal cord. These thorns were indeed a natural part of his body, developing as he was growing into his middle adolescent years. Chance came to realize the potential of his plant-like anatomy and had come to understand it. As days of experimentation went by, he had discovered multiple things that were not even in his interest nor understanding as a young kid. Like a plant, his body breathes in carbon dioxide and releases oxygen in order to make sugars for his body to thrive on. This means that Chance had no intention, motivation or need in eating real food, just water, sunlight and CO2. It came to the most difficult part of his young adult life; his sexual orientation. Rather than aquiring human instincts, Chance's anatomy would become much more complicated than that. Like a plant, he can reproduce in two ways: sexually and asexually. Sexually is splitted into two different categories. Animal(Yeah yeah we all know how this goes :P) and Plant. As a plant, his body produces spores that can be released out his lungs when the time is right. These spores are toxic to animals, and when Chance came to realize this fact, it became another weapon in his arsenal. Because of the clash of plant and animal behaviour, Chance was born without a technical orientation.
With all the newfound knowedge that the miserable years had granted him about himself, Chance no longer felt helpless, or feared another day of public racial activity. One year, one more year of a negative lifestyle; a susceptible sacrifice to hone his abilities to their once believed full potential, it was show time. His mind had been tainted by all the years of physical and emotional abuse, it turned him into the one thing he never wanted to become. Mischief rained upon his city like a bombardment of meteorites as soon as he stepped out onto the street. His heart was full of revenge, his actions only spoke for the darker part of his soul. The crisis started to become even more serious when a citywide evacuation was called upon due to the toxic spores that hazed the area, spores in which Chance had made himself. Because of the fact that the largest concentration of the spores was obviously located around Chance, it made it difficult for the police or anyone to get close enough to even attempt to stop his apparent 'wrong-doing'. It didn't seem so wrong through his blue eyes. It had appeared that Chance was finally starting to accomplish his inner satisfying needs, until a certain hero came into the picture; Rainfall. The gentle blue-skinned hero had made slow-paced success in talking down Chance into a total cease of all actions. Using his abilities over the weather and atmospheric phenomenon, Rainfall managed to rid the air of a large percentage of the toxic spores. The generally young and confused Chance fought the urge to fight, he was indeed physically and emotionally drained. Rainfall, unlike most heroes Chance had came across, actually took the time to see through his anger and not label him a villain at first glance.
The only thing that Chance saw was the negation of his newfound pride, a powerless feeling washed over him like a cascading waterfall. He insisted in challenging Rainfall through combat, but was quickly apprehended due to the lack of experience he had. Instead of getting Longbow involved, Rainfall decided it was best for Chance to remain appropriate treatment within the cities boundaries, offering to take full responsibility of the possible consequence of doing so. Chance Forest needed psycological help, not jail. Despite his best efforts, Rainfall had no choice but to release him into the custody of the Longbow. Chance found himself in a special facility, something he had never even thought to have existed. He would never live a happy life, so many things about the world were bothering him, bottled up inside him. The judgement, the racial activity, the homophobic activity..the lack of care for mother nature. If only he had one more chance, he thought to himself. The deviant within him had rose up to the challenge once more, implicating his thoughts. To his liking, that chance had finally came. Like so many criminals taking advantage of the Arachnos break out, Chance escaped into the Rogue isles. This place...this was the place where he could finally reveal his true self, his deepest desires. With the alliance of the Arachnos, Chance, given the code name Chloro, had indeed become what some refer to as a villain.
"I was born for a reason..I am Mother Natures son. It is here to bend to my will, it is here for me to use to crush my enemies into the past. Justice is not blind, it does not exist. This world needs to change, and I will be the one who makes history." His devious almost insane laugh sends chills down the spines of many. "The world...will be mine for the greening."
