I grew up in a large family that was always on the move. Being the only girl in the family, mom died years ago, I had to become a role model for the younger siblings. Friends were hard to make and the ones that I did make were even harder to keep, so I only had my family for the most part. Being the only girl in the family was rough, but I was always looked after. I stuck to my school work to keep my mind off all the hardship that fell upon the family so that one day I could help them lead a better life. I stayed after school a lot for tutoring and to help with school functions. Even though I had no friends most of the time, I still liked to feel involved. One day I was helping set up for a Halloween bash at the school when a few gals asked me to help the outside with some decorations. I thought nothing of it and went along. Shortly after they lead me to the back of the school a rather large group with bats and whatever else they could find was there waiting for me. I was beaten and left for dead. I don’t know much of what happened after that. I woke weeks later in a hospital with no family at my side, they had moved once again and left me a note saying they would try to come back for me. I knew from then on I was on my own, they would not be returning. That was the worse day of my life.
While I was recovering I took the opportunity to refresh and expand my love for chemistry. I spent a good part of my time working in the hospital labs at night, after hours. With the hours of practice I learned how to create some pretty potent chemical compounds. After I was released I knew I had to do something, From that moment on, I began learning how to defend myself. I only had a small amount of money available to me, so I had to buy a gun on the black market. It was not the best but it work to get me started. Soon i mastered the art of shooting a target with out looking, man I had fast reflexes.
I was out on my own I had to make do with what I had…nothing. I stayed in shelters for the homeless and even an girls home at one point. The girls home kicked me out because I was no longer in need of their services at 18, because some how at 18 you are old enough to make it on your own, with nothing. Odd how the government only helps you for so long. To make rent or get a single meal I turned to crime. Petty stuff at first, pickpockets were to easy, and shoplifting was limited. I wanted more, I needed a challenge. When I finally got courage to do a big job, I robbed a bank. That job landed me in The Zig. Man was my confidence crushed, no one breaks out of The Zig. That would be till me, I just had to figure out how to get out.
Throughout The Zig I kept hearing the name Lord Recluse and about the Rogue Isles. How he was a truly evil villain with a group that followed him. He was going to one day recruit others into his ranks, but who and when no one knew. A few years past and I gained respect of those on the inside. I had a few guys that worked for and protected me from whatever may fall my way. One of my flunkys found out about a break that Lord Recluse was scheduling. He had heard of me and my skills and want me to join his ranks. This was my chance to finally have a name for myself. Finally those who had crossed me would fear my name. I met up with a few others that Lord Recluse was going to help break out to join in his ranks. Several of them had to speak to the same person I did once out of The Zig, so it seemed only natural that we helped each other.
The day we had waited for finally came. It was rather stormy outside; we all started off together but some how we got separated. I knew they had made it out because I've heard of the mayhem they caused in Lord Recluses name. One Day I will find them and I will have my only friends back, and we will be feared ....we call ourselves The Devastators....and I am Faye Tallity.
