For those of you who are not familiar with Vasher check out Mistaken Heart
I am Vasher...
They say time heals all wounds, even those of the heart, but I don't believe them.Heartache can teach a man many things like humility and sorrow. On the other hand it can turn a man cold and ruthless just as it did me. I carry a heavy broken heart and with it comes the painful memory of her betryal. I guess not enough time has passed to heal what she did to me. It has almost been 2 years since we parted ways. She chose him over me and I chose revenge over forgiveness. Consumed with hatered for one I once loved, I set out to seek my own justice to the wrongful hurt inside.
I have been roaming the Rogue Isles in the shadows; aimlessly wandering from town to town planning and waiting. I make my living off the Goldbricker and Sky Raider Warehouses. They always have something worth taking and selling on the Black Market. I think I have added fuel to their already heated battle between the two sides. They blame each other when they take inventory and find most of their stuff is missing. You see them in the streets fighting and shooting at each other. This in turn creates more opportuninties for me to help myself to their already ill gotten goods. I happen to be in the neighborhood when the Rogue Isle Ferry was dropping off travelers from Mercy. So many new faces come through Mercy now that Lord Recluse has put Kalinda in charge of finding the "Destined One". As I watch the wave of criminals coming of the boat I noticed a face in the crowd that did not belong. My heart sank a little bit when I realized it was Kahli.
Kahli is Rainah's kid sister. I can remember her tagging along just about everywhere Rainah went. As much as she tried to get my attention I paid her very little and even less when Rainah was around. I think the poor kid had a crush on me. More curious than concerned I shifted through the crowd and followed her. She was up to something, but I wasn't sure what just yet. She stopped and talked to a couple of bums hanging around a bench. After talking with them for a few minutes she pulls out a hand full of change and drops in the middle of them. As she made her way across town I stayed hidden watching her every move. When she stopped to talk to Drea the Hook I had to get close enough to find out why shes here. As I began moving towards them I heard her tell him she was looking for...me. I couldn't believe it. Why after all this time was she looking for me? Now, intrigued by her presence, I knew I had to speak with her.
After talking to Drea for a while he told her that I had been seen around the docks this morning. The look on her face told me she already knew I was around somewhere. As she headed back across town towards the ferry she was followed into a alley by a few Skuls trying to start trouble with her. They chased her into a dead end. Thinking they had the upperhand in the situation they moved in on her. There was no way I was going to let them harm her... well not until I found out what I wanted to know anyways. Sneaking up behind them I stuck my claws into the back of the first ones head. As the second one turned to see what happened I stabbed him in the chest with both claws. Both layed out on the ground she looked at me and smiled. I asked her what she wanted with me. Her reply was a suprise to me. She said softly "I'm here because Rainah hurt you."" I wanted to find you and make sure you were ok."
While she talked I could see my plan quickly coming together. Killing Rainah would be to good for her, but I think I know where I can start my revenge. I will take the last family member she has left. I will use Kahli's feelings for me to turn her against her sister. I smiled at her as I said "Kahli, I'm glad you came here looking for me.""Your sister would have never done that." As we walked out of the alley I told her my side of the story and what happened the night Rainah left me for dead. I could tell her sympathy for me has not changed over time. I put my arm around her as the sun set across the waters of Port Oaks. I whispered to her," Kahli, can I trust you?" She replied quickly,"Yes of course you can." I continued,"We have something to take care of then.""Rainah must suffer for the pain she caused me." She turned with a smile as she said "That's why I'm here."" This is going to be easier than I thought, I told myself."" Kahli, I see big things for us... big, big things."
Revenge will be mine...
